TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - TITLE 32

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is for a Traffic Management Specialist, Position Description # D1912P01, located in the United States Property and Fiscal Office, Fort Stewart, Ga. This is a full-time, Excepted Temporary, not to exceed two years, dual status position which requires Georgia Army National Guard Membership. May convert to permanent without further competition. Area of Consideration: Open to members of the Georgia Army National Guard.

Military Grades: E6 - O2 Compatible Military Assignments: ENL -25B, 36B, 51C, 88M, 88N, 89A, 92A, 92F, 92G 0R 92Y WO - 882A, 890A, 913A, 914A, 915E, 920A, 920B, 922A, 923A OFF- 88A, 90A, 01A, 91A, 92A General Experience: Must have experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of and understanding of administrative, professional, analytical, or other work relating to traffic or transportation programs or operations.

Must be skilled in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training interpreting regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively. Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures.

Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges. Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement.
