This position is located in U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This position is a leadership role as Branch Chief within the Identity, Credential, and Access Management Division (ICAMD) of the Cybersecurity & Privacy Operations Center (CPOC). Overseeing enterprise-wide cybersecurity functions, privacy, risk management, threat protection, and compliance to ensure the safety of USDA's food and agriculture mission.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. IT Competencies: Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies listed below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

In addition to meeting one of the Basic Requirements listed above, applicants must meet the following Minimum Qualifications Requirement in order to be considered: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level(s) in which you are applying: AND Specialized Experience: At the GS-14 level: Qualifying experience for GS-14 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-13 or equivalent to the GS-13, or its non-Federal equivalent which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

For this position, specialized experience is 1). Overseeing or leading the implementation, deployment, maintenance, and administration of enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services and supporting technologies. 2). Designing, developing, testing, and evaluating identity-driven information systems throughout the systems development life cycle. 3).

Directly managing information technology projects that support ICAM service delivery, from development and modernization through operational performance, security, and compliance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
