About the Position: The Supervisory Health System Specialist provides support to the A. T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir VA, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating healthcare processes, systems, clinics, programs, or policies to improve the access, quality, and cost-effectiveness of healthcare delivery; utilizing financial systems, such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), to assist in the plan and/or execution of a budget; collaborating with medical treatment facility leaders on work-related changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health care delivery processes; providing supervision, leadership, oversight, or direction to employees and their work..
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
