Medical Instrument Technician (Urology)

About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Department of Surgery, Urology, Honolulu, Hawaii. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) ) preparing and maintaining sterile procedure area and instruments for medical procedures, 2) assisting the Physician during routine or diagnostic procedures, and 3) performing basic maintenance and sterilization methods to clean instruments and equipment.

OR Education: At least one full year of graduate level education from an accredited college or university with major courses of study in fields such as Nursing, or Medical Assisting. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
