Intelligence Research Specialist

This position is located in the Office of Intelligence Operations, Operational Intelligence Division, Analysis Production Branch located in Washington, DC performing work in the collection, analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of information on conditions, trends, and forces in foreign and domestic areas that directly or indirectly affect the national security.

To qualify for the Intelligence Research Specialist position at the GS-12 level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.

Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume.

Specialized experience must include all of: Researching, gathering, and analyzing intelligence or investigative information from multiple sources; AND Preparing or reviewing intelligence reports, assessments or other analytical products to support investigations or decision-making; AND Responding to intelligence information requests and verifying or obtaining additional information when needed; AND Coordinating and sharing intelligence information with law enforcement, intelligence or other government partners.
