THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This ND National Guard position is for a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1257000 and is part of the ND G4, National Guard.

PCS STATEMENT: PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION COSTS WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THIS POSITION. NDARNG Areas of Considerations (T32 Excepted Service) Area I: All onboard NDARNG Federal Employees (Tenure 1 & 2) Area II: All onboard NDARNG Federal Employee (Tenure 3) Area III: All NDARNG military members Area IV: All Military Members Area V: All U.S.

Citizens MILITARY GRADES: Warrant Officers (WO1 to CW4) and Enlisted members (E-2 to E-9) COMPATIBILE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: WOBR: 91, 92, 94 and WMOS 882A ECMF: 88, 91, 92, 94 QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed.

The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position. In your resume you will need to address the general and specialized experience listed below. This information is needed to determine if you are qualified for the position.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the general experience, which is described as experience, education, or training which demonstrates: 1) the understanding of standard shop terminology; 2) a basic knowledge of mechanical principles relating to equipment; 3) the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical publications; 4) operational functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment; and 5) experience using computer and automation systems.

Applicants must also meet the specialized experience and/or education requirements.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess at least 1 year experience at the GS-7 grade level or civilian equivalent experience, education, or training which provided knowledge and skill in: 1) applying commonly used equipment, facility, or service principles and concepts; 2) experience in the use of tools and test equipment; 3) knowledge of maintenance programs and techniques; 4) knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design; and 5) developing, installing, inspecting, or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques.

OR master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related Applicants who meet the DoD Priority Placement Program (PPP) Military Spouse Preference are eligible to apply with this preference.
