Digital Media & Marketing Specialist

About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 773d FSS Marketing Department on JBER, AK. Regular Full-Time employees have a regular and continuous work schedule of at least 35 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Degree with an emphasis in Web Design, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is strongly desired. Education above the high school level in a related field may be substituted for progressive and demonstrable experience.

Must have progressively responsible experience in a social/digital media-centric role, online brand marketing, or graphic design. Must demonstrate the ability to manage website content (e.g., WordPress/Drupal), research and compose material, and maintain well-organized digital files. Must have specialized experience demonstrating the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desktop publishing software and graphic design applications.

Must be highly skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office applications. Efficient in DSLR camera operation and videography. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
